I was asked to design a networking event, including the theme, the stand and the printed graphic work.

 

This stand was meant to promote professional relationships and encourage new business opportunities among attendees. On its 60m2 are two self contained different spaces.

 

In the one with sofas and poufs, we're trying to create a relaxed atmosphere. Using low seating furniture instead of the common tables and chairs that we can find on a regular office environment, and being minded about using natural fibers and materials such as cotton or wood, is a good way to trick our eye and make us feel at home for a while. At our event we want the participants to know each other and seek common elements that could bring them potential business relationships in the future.

At the same time, its open estructure on both sides, allows a very easy flow between the ones who want to get in and the ones who want to get out of it.

 

Lighing plays a very big part on the whole atmosphere, so in this cube we will be using only the light that comes from the two pendats placed over the cafe tables. The ones I 've choosen can be made of wood or cardboard, are completely detachable and give a very warm light. They are cheap, enviromentaly friendly and very easy to asemble.

The other cube corresponds to a more formal and practical area, where we can have a counter with a few computers that can be used to support the activities that are scheduled, and 2 or 3 stools in case of be needed, although the intention of putting a high table is to create a dynamic space, since that the purpose is not that only a few people sitting are interacting, but a group of them can stand around each computer  to encourage personal relationships.

 

On the wall behind the computers is placed the You Tube logo backlit and placed between the pads of "Tube" made ​​of hollow plastic colored satin gloss finish 032C. The inner wall of the cube will be painted in black satin matte, one hand to highlight the installation and on the other to differentiate it from other space. This facility already exists on the Google / You tube dependecies, so we take out its philosophy and its identity from a physical and static place, to show it worldwide ephemerally. Corporate identity does not need to be present only through logos and colors, but by all elements within our reach.
